In May 2022 it was announced that the identity of a 1991 murder victim in El Dorado, Arkansas, had finally been found. Michael was part of the team that made the identification. One of the most well-known Jane Doe victims, many had tried to identify her since she was murdered by her ex-boyfriend. She’s even had her own Wikipedia page for years.

Michael was interviewed in September 2021 by journalist Darren Tobia for an article in Jersey Digs about a cemetery restoration in Jersey City, New Jersey.
During Pride Month in June 2021, Michael recorded this video about finding his gay Uncle Arthur for Ancestry.com.

Michael joined Drew Smith again for the Genealogy Connection podcast, discussing his recently published first volume in the Benjamin Franklin’s Family series of the family genealogy, which went live on 21 November 2019.
Michael joined Boston radio host Mat Schaffer on the Boston Sunday Review (98.5 FM) to answer questions about genealogy and family history on 24 March 2019.
